ThyssenKrupp CSA, Sepetiba Bay, Brazil - Blast Furnaces

At the end of 2007, EXOR was awarded a contract for complete automation of two newly built blast furnaces. The contract was signed with Paul Wurth, Luxemburg, while the final customer is ThyssenKrupp CSA, Brazil.
This project is specific due to the implementation of additional adaptive control system and precise regulation of furnaces charging. Total number of process signals is 16,000. For that purpose a new automation system is used. It consists of 25 PLCs, 9 servers, 4 engineering units and 10 operator units.
Project begun in May 2009 and its completion is scheduled for the summer of 2010. Value of the project is over 1 million Euros.
